Cava Becomes All-Time Leading Running Back

Santino Cava became Notre Dame’s all-time leading rusher during the game against Central Catholic. Going into the game with 3,740 yards, Cava needed only 29 yards to break the longstanding record held by Janu Arbonaise (’92). Cava ended the game with 225 yards and said, “I’m happy to get to break the record and to get to do it with all the people in my class. I’d like to thank them because we’ve started together since we were freshman.”
