Upon graduation, Tim entered the U.S. Navy, serving the first 10 years while enlisted as a Hospital Corpsman and Surgical Tech (1981-91) with various hospital and operational/combat assignments in the U.S., Central America, North and West Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. He completed an Associate’s Degree in Nursing in 1988 and a B.S in Healthcare Management from Southern Illinois University in 1990. Obtaining a direct commission, he then served as a Medical Service Corps Officer as a hospital administrator, medical planner and logistician, instructor, and emergency manager, in various assignments in California and Washington, DC (1991-2013). Tim earned an M.A. in Education from Central Michigan University in 1999. He retired from active duty in 2013 and began a career with the Department of Defense at the Pentagon where he is a senior administrator in the Office of the Department of Defense Chief Information Officer.

In 2012, Tim entered formation for the permanent diaconate and ordained a Deacon for the Archdiocese of Washington, DC by Donald Cardinal Wuerl (Archbishop of Washington) on June 24, 2017. He serves as a deacon at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, Washington, DC and his local parish of St. Ignatius of Loyola, Ft. Washington, MD.

Deacon Tim lives in Upper Marlboro, MD with his wife of 35+ years Teresa Lynn Rawlinitis Wolfkill (Bridgeport H.S. 1981). Besides being married to and spending time with his wife Lynn, Tim’s greatest joys are being a Deacon, serving the people of God, and being a grandfather.
