The Notre Dame High School Dance Ensemble is a new after school program designed for students of all levels and abilities to experience dance as a performing art. Students will participate in weekly technique classes to develop skills in multiple dance genres and will have performance opportunities throughout our school community. All students with an interest in dance are welcome to join the dance ensemble. Previous or current dance training is welcome but not required. Participants will not only work on improving their technique, but they will also learn to use dance and movement as a powerful way to express themselves and their faith.

Stacey Romano will be leading the new program. She graduated summa cum laude from Radford University in 2010 with a BS in dance education. A Harrison County native, Stacey has had extensive training in ballet, jazz, and modern techniques, and has participated in numerous workshops and intensives at Dance Alloy Theater, Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, Point Park University, West Virginia Governor’s School for the Arts, American College Dance Festival, and West Virginia Dance Festival. She spent ten years dancing and performing professionally with modern dance companies including d a n a h b e l l a DanceWorks and Full Circle Dance Company, based in Baltimore, MD. Stacey has been a dance educator for fifteen years, sharing her passion for dance with students of all ages in both studios and schools throughout West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland. She currently resides in Bridgeport with her husband and two sons and continues to teach the art of dance throughout North Central, WV.
