Notre Dame High School have announced their Aquinas Medal Recipient. Congratulations to Nicholas Palmer who will receive the award at the Bishop’s Dinner in April.

Every Catholic School in West Virginia chooses someone to receive this award from the highest grade level in the school.

The Aquinas Medal is named after St. Thomas Aquinas, the Patron Saint of Scholars, who was distinguished by his keen intellect and by his commitment to the love and service of God.

These students are representative of the outstanding quality of Catholic schools across the Diocese. Students are selected not only for their academic endeavors, but more importantly, for their modeling of the Gospel values that are so integral within the mission of Catholic schools, as well as the 3 R’s: reverence, respect, and responsibility.

Nicholas is a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clarksburg and is the son of Glen & Michelle Palmer.
